Climbing the Mountain of Climate Change

On September 23rd, 2014, leaders from around the world met in New York City to discuss the most pressing issue facing our world today: climate change. They recognized climate change as an urgent matter that needs immediate attention, and vowed to take the steps necessary to reduce harmful emissions. United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon stated, “This Summit was not about talk. History is made by action. And now we have seen that the world is ready to act.”

Actions do indeed speak louder than words, and if the UN is to keep it’s commitments, serious changes are right around the corner. Many countries have ambitious goals for the next few years, let alone 2015.
